Bibliodent is a bibliographic databank developed by the French Dental Association in collaboration with the Conseil National de l'Ordre des Chirurgiens-Dentistes (the regulatory body governing the practice of dentistry in France) and the Lille Dental faculty. It is dedicated to documents on dental/oral health available in French. The Bibliodent databank gives references for a wide variety of documents, including:  Books and manuals  Articles from periodicals  Conference papers from conferences given in scientific societies or in the framework of continuing professional education  University theses  Audio-visual documents (mostly films and videos)  Monographs published by research laboratories or by other organisations and which have not led to further publications. – Comprehensive references are given for each document, including title, author(s), full description and abstract. – The databank can be searched by author's name, by words from the title, by topic, by key words from the dental/oral health thesaurus (also available on line), by words from the abstract and by date of publication. – Photocopies of reproducible documents may be obtained by post or by fax.
