The ADF is the voice of the dental profession not only in France, but also abroad. Through top level positions in the FDI World Dental Federation (FDI) and its participation in the work of the European Regional Organisation of the FDI (ERO-FDI), the ADF promotes France’s position on key issues.
It actively contributes to the advancement of the major projects and objectives of the dental profession for the 21st Century through the members of the ADF International Affairs Committee, who regularly take part in international debates on topical issues such as prevention, quality, relations between dental practitioners and universities, the roles and responsibilities of the different members of the dental team, and dental training and education.
As a partner of the Gadef, the Federation of French-speaking dental associations (Groupement des associations dentaires francophones), the ADF supports the activities conducted with the World Health Organisation (WHO) in sub-Saharan Africa to improve health around the world by providing greater access to care, protecting human health, and improving public health.
The ADF also contributes actively to international standardisation procedures through its involvement in the AFNOR, the French Standardisation Agency.
